On Thursday, 4/12/07, I delivered the inaugural lecture of a series that will address aspects of religion at Murray State University. The topic was literalism and was heavily drawn from my earlier work on this blog here. I've posted the video on YouTube as a five part series.
The audio of this video series is available on the AskThePriest Podcast.

I have several questions. I loved the video by the way, however, growing up in a fundy church, but starting to think for myself in high-school, I need to challenge and test your beliefs as well :)
First, what do you mean by "you choose one. Thats what you do in theology" isn't that relativism? Shouldn't words have meaning?
How do you know that being a heretic doesn't have to do with salvation? Why did the apostles warn everyone so much about falling away?
You said that priests in TEC differ on their view of scripture- do some believe the bible is inerrant?
What about where Jesus talks about the individual strokes of scripture being inspired? Doesn't this validate the fundy view of interpretation?
What about this explanation of Judas's death? http://www.tektonics.org/gk/judasdeath.html
Isn't this explanation more in tune with the culture of the time?
